Rector of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), Professor Tamás Sterbenz paid a visit to Shanghai where he met representatives of Fudan University and Shanghai Sports University to clarify the final details of future cooperation with the latter one.  

A delegation from the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) recently visited the Institut National du Sport, de l’Expertise et de la Performance (INSEP, the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance Center) in Paris.

His Excellency Edgard Arturo Perez Alvan, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Peru to Hungary, and David Celis, Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission of the South American Mission to Peru, visited the Hungarian University of Sports Science.

The International Relations Centre’s director and staff members from the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) recently paid a visit to Charles University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport in Prague, Czech Republic, to explore avenues for collaboration.

Ms Sena Kara, International Relations Coordinator of the Istambul-based Gedik University paid a visit to the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS). She discussed opportunities of cooperation with the employees of the International Relations Centre (IRC).

Shandong Sport University (SSU) and Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) have taken a significant step towards fostering international collaboration in the field of sports education and research.

On 24 January, the Ice Hockey Methodology Centre held a conference at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) within the framework of the cooperation agreement previously signed by the two parties.

Dr. Soyib Tajibaev, lecturer and researcher of the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports visited the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) recently.

The delegation of the Uzbek Institute of Physical Education and Sport Culture visited the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) on 11 August. The delegation included the advisor of the Uzbek Minister of Sport, Avazjon Kudratillaevich Karimov, the Rector of the Uzbek Institute of Physical Education and Sport Culture, Ilhomjon Ahmedovich Tursunaliev, and project manager Valijon Khoshimov.

In line with the MoU signed in 2019 by IJF President and the Rector of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), David Kevkhishvili, Vice-president of the Georgian Judo Federation, Dr. Lasha Aladoshvili, medical doctor of the Georgian Judo Federation, and Envic Galea, Chair of IJF Academy, Dr. Tibor Kozsla, Head of Institution of IJF Academy, and Dr. Péter Hidas, member of the medical commission of European Judo Union and IJF Academy have visited our University on July 7, 2022.

On 22 June, the Hungarian University of Sports Science hosted some leaders of the Indonesian National Olympic Committee: Vice Secretary-General, Daniel Loy, Jovinus Carolus Legawa, Head of Sport Development and Lilla Horváth, Director of international relations.

Based on the successful cooperation between Hungarian University of Sport Science (HUSS) and International Fencing Federation (FIE) the first fencing coaching course of the year is organized in Budapest, between January and April 2022.

Last Thursday, our University hosted a delegation from ILEPS, our new French partner. The partnership between the two institutions is based on an Erasmus partnership, the ILEPS international office contacted us at the end of 2021 to explore if we can expand the partnership beyond Erasmus, too. Quite soon, we could welcome the first in person visit of the ILEPS delegation in Budapest.

Last week, Dr. Tamás Sterbenz, Rector and Dr. Judit Kádár, Director of International Relations have visited Sports University of Tirana (SUT). It was Dr. Tamás Sterbenz's first international trip as a rector, and several relevant discussions fostered our collaboration with our Albanian partner.

The day before the IV. Sport and Innovation International Conference, the International Relations Center of the University of Physical Education organized an International Partner Day for the university’s foreign partners as well as the embassies.

The third 3-week Teaching Excellence Program has been successfully completed in collaboration with the University of New Mexico in online form in July. The main goal of the program is to develop the professional and intercultural skills of  UPE faculties who will play a key role in the internationalization of UPE in connection with future full-time and part-time courses in English.

The University of Physical Education and the University of Bern organized a three-part English-language webinar series built around the theme of sports motivation. On each occasion, the focus was on motivating different age groups to be physically active: 1. the young  2. adults 3. older adults. The events provided participants with useful and valuable knowledge, who had participated mostly from German-speaking areas.

The University of Physical Education and the University of Bern have organized an English language webinar that consisted of three series and focused on sport motivation. The three events of the series explored three different thematic groups focusing on motivation and sports: 1. youth 2. adults 3. professional athletes.

The University of Physical Education (UPE) has cooperated with the International Canoe Federation (ICF) in the field of coach training programs since 2012. The highest-level certificate of coaching qualification in the education system of ICF is provided by this program, which was organized by UPE.

This year, the highly successful three-week UPE Complex Education Language and Intercultural Faculty Immersion Program was organized in collaboration with the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, USA.
