A delegation from the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) recently visited the Institut National du Sport, de l’Expertise et de la Performance (INSEP, the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance Center) in Paris.
On March 19, 2024, Dr Csaba Ökrös, Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Dr Sándor Sáfár, Associate Professor of Training Theory and Methodological Research Centre and Gabriella Sztojalovszky, Coordinator of International Relations Centre visited the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance Center (INSEP) in Paris.
The meeting was also attended by Babak Amir-Tahmasseb (Director of International Relations), Sean Grandillel (Coordinator of International Relations) and Bertrand Daillel (Director of the Performance Center) from INSEP. The aim of the discussions was to establish cooperation and strengthen the relationship between the two institutions in the field of sports science.
INSEP is one of the most significant sports centres in Paris, with a primary goal of providing optimal conditions for athletes' preparation and supporting them before the Olympics and World Championships.
As the official national training centre for the Paris Olympics and Paralympics, INSEP's current opportunities are time-bound. Nevertheless, both parties believe that there is potential for collaboration in various areas. Dr Sándor Sáfár emphasizes the importance of cooperation between the two institutions, and further negotiations will continue in the coming period.
During the visit, INSEP representatives provided a detailed insight into their institution's operations and network of relationships. There was also an opportunity to visit the sports facilities, highlighting fencing, judo, and wrestling centres as successful examples.
Further discussions are expected in the coming months regarding the development of relations and concrete collaboration plans between representatives of INSEP and the HUSS.
