His Excellency Edgard Arturo Perez Alvan, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Peru to Hungary, and David Celis, Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission of the South American Mission to Peru, visited the Hungarian University of Sports Science.
The delegation was welcomed by Dr Csaba Ökrös, Vice-Rector General, and Dr habil Judit Kádár, Head of the International Relations Centre (IRC), who briefly introduced the university.
Participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities for cooperation between the Peruvian-Hungarian sports and higher education sectors. The Peruvian Sports Office showed interest in our university's training, especially in coaching, and the possibility of planning friendly matches as well as training camps. The possibility of collaborating in webinars and online training courses was also discussed.
All efforts will be supported by the recently appointed Hungarian Ambassador to Peru, András Beck, who will bring the Hungarian University of Sports Science to another country on the Latin American continent with the help of two distinguished diplomats.
After the meeting, the guests were shown around at the university campus. It is hoped that this visit will be followed by successful concrete cooperation in the near future.
