• Current and former TF students receive award at the 2024 Athlete of the Year Gala

    Several former and current students of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) were awarded at yesterday's 2024 Athlete of the Year Gala partly sponsored by the university, where the best coach award was presented by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Lajos Mocsai and Rector Tamás Sterbenz.

  • Chinese Sports Minister visits Hungarian Olympic Committee

    A high-level governmental and sports diplomacy meeting was organised at the headquarters of the Hungarian Olympic Committee with the participation of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) led by Chinese Sports Minister Gao Zhidan, President of the Chinese Olympic Committee.

  • EUC Volleyball coming to Budapest in 2025

    The city of Budapest, the Hungarian University of Sports Science and its sports club TFSE will host the European Universities Volleyball Championship in 2025. The event will take place from 27 July to 3 August.

Aleksandr Vlasenko, a 20-year-old student of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), fought his way into the final with an excellent program and we can cheer him on again on Saturday.

# Csaba Ökrös

Dr. Csaba Ökrös, the Vice-Rector of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) recently visited Kuwait at the invitation of András Szabó, Ambassador of Hungary to Kuwait. The purpose of the brief visit was to discuss several important cooperation opportunities concerning the sports sector of both countries.

Representing the management of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), Rector Professor Tamás Sterbenz and Vice-Rector for General Affairs Dr Csaba Ökrös, visited the Deutsche Sporthochschule in Cologne, Germany.

With the support of the Olympic Solidarity (OS), another 14 foreign students joined our increasingly popular International Coaching Course (ICC).

The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), which is to hold its centenary celebrations next year, is expecting young transboarder Hungarians to submit their applications. HUSS does not only offer a wide range of courses and sporting opportunities, but also a renewed infrastructure of high standard. Interview with Vice-rector for General Affairs Dr Csaba Ökrös.

The graduation ceremony held on 29 November 2023 marked the end of the autumn course of the International Coaching Course (ICC) that brought together foreign students from 16 countries at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS).

Between 1 and 9 October 2023, our university welcomed Axel Binnenbruck, from the Faculty of Sports Science  of  Münster University. The German guest lecturer was received by Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Dr Csaba Ökrös. 

His Excellency Edgard Arturo Perez Alvan, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Peru to Hungary, and David Celis, Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission of the South American Mission to Peru, visited the Hungarian University of Sports Science.

Dr. Csaba Ökrös, the Head of the Department of Sports Games and Vice-Rector General of HUSS not only visited the University of Münster and the Deutsche Sporthochschule in Cologne, but was also present the men’s Champion League final four event in handball.

Tuesday saw the beginning of the International Days (IDIH 2023) that is currently being held at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS).

Participants of the international Coaching Course (ICC) 2023 Spring Semester launched at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) were given a very warm welcome and a three-course Hungarian dinner by the university representatives on Wednesday.

Having relaunched after the epidemic, the International Coaching Course (ICC) at the Hungarian University of Sport Sciences (HUSS) has been successfully completed.

On the 26th and 27th of September, 2022 a delegation from the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) lead by Rector Prof Dr Tamás Sterbenz visited Thailand. The rector was accompanied by Vice-Rector for General Affairs Dr Csaba Ökrös and Presidenttial Advisor and Research Leader Dr Péter Szikra. The delegation was received by Dr Sándor Sipos, Hungarian Ambassador to Thailand.

On the 10th of October, the first Intercultural Hungarian dinner was held at the restaurant of the Hungarian University of Sports Science thanks to the International Relations Center. The purpose of the event was to promote the integration of incoming students arriving in the year 2022/23 as well as to familiarize them with the Hungarian culture and traditions.
