As part of the Pannonia Scholarship Programme, the delegation of Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) made an official visit to Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education in Tbilisi, a partner institution of HUSS to discuss issues related to digitalisation and internationalisation.
As part of the increasingly popular Pannonia Scholarship Program at Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), educational director László Csekei and senior digitalization expert Dorina Kissné Fajcsák from HUSS visited Tbilisi between June 15 and 19 2025. The delegation held professional discussions at HUSS’s partner institution, the Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education (GSTUPES), focussing on internationalization and digitalization in education.
The Georgian university delegation was led by Rector Professor Tristan Gulbani, Vice-Rector Professor Jemal Dzagania, Dean Professor Kakha Khvedelidze, Quality Assurance Head Maia Khurtsilava, and International Director Mariam Maisuradze.
HUSS representatives presented the university’s growing range of foreign-language programmes, including the newly licensed English-language BSc in Sports Management and the planned registration of the BSc in Sport Sciences. They also discussed the transformation of the International Sports Diplomacy programme into a master's course and the licensing of the full-time English-language MSc in Sport Coaching. The parties explored student mobility opportunities, blended learning practices, Moodle platform use, the role of AI in education, and the Profformance quality assurance system.
The visit strengthened HUSS’s ties and contributed to international cooperation in sport science higher education.
