# Tamás Csányi

Dr habil. Tamás Csányi represented the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) at this year’s AIESEP international conference held at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, Florida between 19 and 22 May.

Dr Tamás Csányi, Head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) has been awarded another prestigious position and task in the European umbrella organisation of physical education teachers. 

Dr habil. Tamás Csányi, Head of the Department of Physical Education Theory and Methodology participated in a study covering 197 countries. The study was published in The Lancet, one of the world's best-known scientific journals.

Dr Tamás Csányi, Head of the Department of Physical Education Theory and Methodology at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) has been re-elected board member of the European Physical Education Association (EPEA) in Frankfurt on 18 November.

Dr Tamás Csányi Associate Professor and Dr István Soós Research Professor, members of the Teacher Training Institute, represented our university at the international scientific conference "Diagnostics in Sport".

A total of eight researchers from six national universities and organisations contributed to the publication edited in Nature including the Head of the Department of Physical Education Theory and Methodology at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS),  Dr habil Tamás Csányi and his colleagues.

Two of the most prestigious journals of sports science, namely the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) and Sports Medicine (SM) have published an article in the publication of which Dr Tamás Csányi, Head of the Department of Physical Education Theory and Methodology of Education also participated.

An opening plenary lecture on the fitness status of Hungarian schoolchildren was given at the University of Belgrade by Dr Tamás Csányi, Head of the Department of Physical Education Theory and Methodology of Education at HUSS.

The European Conference on Physical Education and School Sport was held in Münster, Germany between 17 and 18 October. The event was organised jointly by the University of Münster and the Willibald Gebhardt Institute. Dr habil. Tamás Csányi, the head of the Department of Physical Education Theory and Methodology of Education at our university, participated in the event as a guest plenary speaker.
