In the second half of August, Mauritania hosted the World Gymanstics’s (Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique, FIG) regular academy called FIG Academy coaching course. Dr Zsuzsanna Kalmár, Head of the Department of Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Dance and Aerobics, participated in the course as an expert lecturer.

Hungarian gymnast Krisztofer Mészáros, who currently attends the BA coaching course of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), has reached the 9^th place in the men’s individual all-around individual competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which makes him the second Hungarian gymnast who managed to reach Top 10 at the Olympics in the all-around event.

A six-member delegation led by the rector of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), dr. Tamás Sterbenz, met with the leaders and representatives of 11 international sports federations in Lausanne that is known as the home of federations on 26 April.
