The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, has awarded an honorary doctorate to Thomas Bach, the recently retired President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

On August 20, 2025, Hungary’s national holiday, Thomas Bach, former President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will be conferred an honorary doctorate degree. The ceremony will take place in the university’s Athens Hall at 10:30 am.

This summer, the National Athletics Centre once again welcomed world-class stars, as the Gyulai István Memorial returned to Budapest.
