A delegation consisting of 40 physical education teachers and coaching students from Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania arrived at the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) for a one-week study trip.
The Hungarian University of Sports Sciences (TF) has been in a multifaceted relationship with Sapientia EMTE for five years. The cooperation agreement was signed in July, and now a group consisting of almost 40 students from the Transylvanian university, including physical education teachers and coaches, arrived at the TF to learn about the educational palette offered by the institution, the campus and the atmosphere of the TF, which will be 100 years old next year.
The Erasmus visitors were welcomed on Monday in the Rome Hall at the university by TF’s management including Professor Tamás Sterbenz Rector and Dr Csaba Ökrös, Vice-Rector for General Affairs. Denissza Blanár, Head of the International Relations Directorate and Zsombor Gaál, Mobility Coordinator were also present.
The friendly and informal event was opened by Dr Csaba Ökrös.
"It is a special pleasure for me to be involved in the preparation and training of the Sapientia University's programme for physical education teachers. It is important for us to help our fellow countrymen and women from across the border in any way we can. Although we have links with several universities abroad, Sapientia is particularly close to our hearts. We look forward to welcoming you to our Master's and PhD courses in the future."
Denissza Blanár then presented the university’s education portfolio, which was followed by Tamás Sterbenz's speech to the guest students.
"Our long-term goal is to raise the level of physical education teacher training and coaching in Transylvania to such a level that Sapientia University will become a serious competitor to TF. I hope that during this week you will get a taste of the TF experience, the present and the past 99 years of the university, and the atmosphere of the campus."
