Kincső Kinga Horváth becomes young olympic ambassador

Former student of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), who is currenlty a content development manager of the Directorate of Education, participated in 64th International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors organised by the International Olympic Academy (IOA) in June.

The 64th International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors was organised between 8 and 21 June by the International Olympic Academy (IOA). Representing Hungary, former student of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), Kincső Kinga Horváth, who is currently a content development manager of the Directorate of Education, also took part in the seminar.

The main theme of the seminar was "The Athlete in Society", focusing on the role of athletes in society. This year's event was attended by 140 young Olympic ambassadors from 82 countries.

"It was an uplifting experience for me to participate in this prestigious event," said Kincső. ”Our programme was extremely colourful, intense and tiring, but our days were characterised by energy, fun and motivation. The question-and-answer sessions of the technical presentations were lively, as were the group sessions, during which we often got involved in discussions on a particular topic. It was a particularly good experience to see everyone proudly presenting the culture of their country during the cultural evenings, which were received with great interest and openness by all those present. I also had the opportunity to share interesting information about Hungary in a short presentation.

Kincső added that the seminar was attended by fellow students who work for the National Olympic Committee or sports organisations. Participants also included world champion athletes and Olympians, with whom she was able to build relationships that will undoubtedly last forever.

The young ambassador also shared her experience about the 2024 Paris Olympic Games:

"In recent weeks, the whole world focussed on the Paris Olympics, which have aroused a range of emotions and passions, both from participants and those who have followed the events. There was tension, anger, disillusionment, disappointment, but also compassion, emotion, joy, pride and gratitude. Many of us may still be affected by the Games. Despite the range of emotions, I am convinced that the ideals of Olympism in its many forms were spectacularly represented at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris."

Kincső is of course grateful to everyone who made it possible for her to attend the seminar.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Hungarian Olympic Committee and the Hungarian Olympic Academy for having delegated me to this programme. I believe that the experiences and values gained during the seminar will accompany me and my fellow ambassadors in the long term, and I am confident that we will be able to promote the Olympic ideals in our own environment."
