The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) hosted the First European Volunteer Summit on 13 December 2023.

Newly elected Hungarian member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Dr Balázs Fürjes visited the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) on 23 November to hold a lecture for the university’s undergraduate sports management students.

The volunteers of the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest were nominated for the International Fair Play Award by Balázs Fürjes, co-chair of the event's organising committee, together with Sebastian Coe, President of World Athletics for their dedicated and persistent voluntary contribution.

The European Association for Sociology of Sport (EASS) conference (EASS2023 Budapest) held by the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) between 30 May and 2 June welcomed120 PhD students from 50 European universities.

The European Association for Sociology of Sport (EASS) conference (EASS2023) hosted by the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) kicked off with an opening ceremony and a roundtable discussion on 30 May.

Representatives of the Hungarian University of Sports Science took part in the second meeting of the European project titled METER MATTERS between January 31 and February 2 at the University of Coimbra in Portugal. The sub-title of the project is “Proposal of criteria and model for co-funding inclusion in sport”, which is also one of the main expected outcomes of the collaboration of 6 organisations.

With the participation of the Hungarian University of Sports Sciences (HUSS), the kick-off meeting for Erasmus+ project named Meter Matters was organized in Ljubljana. The Faculty of Sport of the University of Ljubljana, the coordinator of the project, along with other partners from Slovenia and Portugal were introduced to the project that will be completed at the end of May 2024.
