Badis Soussi, a PhD student Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), gained valuable international research insights through the Pannonia Scholarship Programme during a short-term mobility at Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia in Spain.

At the invitation of the Klebelsberg Kuno College for Advanced Studies, Nobel Prize–winning research biologist Katalin Karikó gave an online lecture at Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS). The event is certainly of historical significance, as a Nobel laureate had never given a lecture at the university before.

In collaboration with the staff of the Hungarian Olympic Committee (HOC) and in the presence of distinguished guests, the newly established IOC Olympic Studies Research Centre was recently introduced at HUSS, and it is expected to become Hungary’s leading intellectual hub for Olympic studies.

The Hungarian University of Sports Science will host the 25th International Student Scientific Conference between April 28 and 30, 2026.

A large delegation led by Professor Béla Merkely participated in the four-day 3rd Hungarian–Uzbek Rectors’ Conference held in the Uzbek capital, where Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) was represented by HUSS’s Rector Professor Tamás Sterbenz.

A special Issue of the open-access journal Life focusing on athletes and nutrition is now available.

Dr Erika Kendelényi-Gulyás, assistant professor at the Hungarian University of Sports Science, also played a significant role at the Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics, where she supported the athletes’ preparation and performance as a member of the Hungarian athlete delegation.

The volunteers of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) Volunteer and Sustainability Office also did their best at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
