HUSS and Hungarian Synchronised Swimming Association sign agreement

The Hungarian University and Sports Science and the Hungarian Synchronised Swimming Association have signed a cooperation agreement.

Both the Hungarian Synchronised Swimming Federation and the Hungarian University and Sports Science consider it a priority to train Hungarian coaches of the sport to the highest possible level, to create the necessary intellectual and financial conditions as well as to continuously develop them.

Therefore both institutions have signed a cooperation agreement, which, in the long run, may even result in a successful participation of the Hungarian synchronised swimmers in various age-group and adult world competitions such as the 2027 editions of the FINA World Championships and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

The agreement was signed by Bernadett Iker, President of the Hungarian Synchronised Swimming Association and Prof. Tamás Sterbenz, Rector of the university.

An important element of the agreement is that in the academic year 2024/2025, a BA coaching course for synchronised swimmers will be launched. The number of participants is expected to be eight. If required, a master's programme will also be launched at the university every second year.
