On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre of the Embassy of India is organizing a free yoga session on the morning of June 21 at the athletics track of the Dr. Koltai Jenő Sports Centre, part of the campus of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS).
Once again this year, the International Day of Yoga celebrates the harmony of body and mind. The Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre, part of the Embassy of India in Budapest, is joining the celebration with a special open-air yoga event. The programme will take place between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. on June 21 at the athletics track of the Dr. Jenő Koltai Sports Centre. Although participation is free, prior registration is required.
The goal of the event is to bring yoga, an ancient Indian tradition, closer to the Hungarian public and to jointly raise awareness of the importance of regular physical activity, mindfulness, and health preservation. Participants will take part in a guided yoga session that is open to all age groups.
The event is one of the key cultural programmes of the Indian Embassy and also aims to strengthen the friendly and cultural ties between the two countries. Organizers kindly ask all attendees to bring a yoga mat, water, and to register on the official website of the embassy in advance.
Let’s rise early on June 21 and start the day with body- and soul-refreshing movement—together, under the open sky!
