Ákos Koller receives significant award

Dr. Ákos Koller, professor oat the Hungarian University of Sports Sciences has received an important recognition. This year he was awarded the Eugene M. Landis Research Award given by the American Microcirculatory Society.

The nominee for the award named after Eugene M. Landis was the Head of the Institute of Physiology at Harvard University, President of the American Physiological Society, editor of Circulation Research and a member of the US National Academy of Sciences.

The nominee for the award named after Eugene M. Landis must be a member of the Microcirculatory Society who is an active researcher or has published and is conducting outstanding research in the field of microcirculation.

Nomination for the award also requires a letter of support describing the nominee's most significant work and a current curriculum vitae listing the nominee's top 10 publications from the past 10 years.

The award will be presented at the annual meeting of the Microcirculatory Society and the recipient will be invited to give a presentation on his/her professional and research career. The recipient's presentation will be published as a featured manuscript in the Society's official journal, Microcirculation.
