The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) has a long-standing tradition of student research through its Students’ Scientific Association (TDK), established in the 1950s. Every second year, the University organizes a conference where students deliver oral presentations on their research projects.
Believing strongly in the value of international mobility, HUSS promotes institutional partnerships that create opportunities for academic exchange and collaborative research. The University community takes pride in its extensive network of scientific connections, which also enables international students to conduct research in our laboratories.
HUSS is actively engaged in international conferences and academic publishing, with many faculty members serving as editors or editorial board members of prestigious journals. The University continues to advance its scientific achievements by expanding its research portfolio and maintaining state-of-the-art facilities that support high-quality research at all levels.
The Hungarian University of Sports Science cordially invites bachelor-, master- and doctorate- level students to the 25th International Student Science Conference (ISSC) Budapest. The ISSC, to be organised between April 28-30, 2026 in Budapest.

Submission guidelines
- Authors are required to submit their abstract online.
- Each participant can present one paper as the lead author, and his or her name can appear on additional papers as second or additional author. We encourage early career researchers to submit their own papers.
- Authors should submit their abstracts in English. Please note that no translation services can be offered during the conference. Abstracts should not exceed the respective word count (3000 characters, without title, authors and institutions) and may not contain tables or graphs.
- Abstracts will be reviewed by the members of the Congress Scientific Committee.
- Presenters are encouraged to prepare a Power Point presentation in English in order to present their research content, which also serves a better understanding and facilitates discussion.
- Abstract submission is free of charge. Presenting authors need to register for and should make themselves available for the duration of the conference.
- Registration fees must be paid by 13 April 2026 at the latest for an author to present at the issc2026 Budapest conference and to ensure the publication of their name and abstract in the Book of Abstracts. All authors agree that their abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts and on the website of the conference.
Session and presentation formats
The conference will feature oral presentations only; no poster sessions will be organized.
Oral Presentation
The conference will follow a 10/5 format, allowing 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion, in order to foster substantive academic dialogue. Authors are requested to specify the main focus of their submission during the abstract submission process, in addition to selecting the thematic session most relevant to their research. The specific requirements for abstracts are outlined below:
Objectives, Methods, Results/Findings, Discussion, Conclusion.
Submissions must be made through the link provided on the conference homepage.
aPlease Note: In each session, awards will be granted to the best presentations.
