Despite the harsh weather, the volunteers played a crucial role in the two-day event.
Organized by the Volunteer and Sustainability Office of the university, nearly 90 volunteers – including participants from Egypt, Nigeria, Syria, Russia, India, the Philippines, and Mongolia – contributed to the successful execution of the CRAZY5K Obstacle Race, held on May 17–18 at the Budaörs Airport. Volunteers, including students from our university, played an essential role in ensuring that this dynamic and high-energy sports event ran smoothly and safely.
Over the course of the two days, volunteers faced a variety of responsibilities such as managing registration, monitoring the race course, operating refreshment stations, and distributing gifts – all while braving the challenging weather, including wind, rain, and chilly mornings.
Despite these difficulties, the volunteers showed exceptional dedication. The event organizers shared extremely positive feedback, highlighting the enthusiasm, kindness, and wholehearted support of the volunteers throughout the event.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every volunteer for their contribution – we hope the CRAZY5K will remain a top memory in your volunteer experiences!
