With his best performance of his career, Aleksandr Vlasenko, student of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) finished in 21st at the ISU European Figure Skating Championships.
On Saturday evening, the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn concluded with the men's free skate program. Aleksandr Vlasenko, a student of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF), achieved his best result to date, finishing 21st.
Aleksandr, who took the 11th place at the Winter University Games, had his primary goal of qualifying for the final. He was in 22nd place after the short program, allowing him to perform his free skate as the third competitor in the first group. Although his free skate was not perfect, he improved by one place, finishing 20th in the free skate.
"My primary goal was to reach the final. I knew I had to skate a very good short program to achieve this! In the free skate, I performed two triple Axels and increased the difficulty of the elements to score as many points as possible. I am happy that compared to last year, I was able to advance in this very strong men's field and achieve the best placement of my career”, Aleksandr said after his free skate.
