Our students won six gold, three silver and eight bronze medals at the European University Games (EUG) that ended yesterday, making TF the most successful Hungarian universities at the event.
The European University Games were held between 12 and 24 July in Miskolc and Debrecen, where 3,800 athletes from 400 universities in 40 European countries competed for medals and valuable placings in 17 sports.
At the prestigious European university sporting event, 102 students from the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) competed in a total of 11 sports: 3x3 basketball, outdoor basketball, beach handball, chess, badminton, handball, judo, karate, kick-boxing, taekwondo and volleyball.
Due to the excellent performance of our students (six gold, three silver and eight bronze medals), TF finished second in the medal table. With this performance, our university surpassed its 2022 performance when it finished fourth in the medal table with five gold and seven bronze medals at the Lodz Games.
