Finland hosted the Conference on Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy between 13 and 17 May, in which our university was also represented.
This year, AIESEP’s (The International Organization for Physical Education in Higher Education) international conference titled "Past Meets the Future" took place in Jyväskylä, Finland. The University of Jyväskylä, renowned for its long history in physical education teacher education, hosted more than 550 participants from 52 countries. The main themes of the five-day conference included social responsibility, motor development and a holistic view of the sciences related to children's personal development.
The Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) was represented by Professor István Soós and three of his PhD students: Ágnes Csordás-Makszin and two foreign Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holders, Narges Ghazvini from Iran and Janice Juaban from the Philippines. All of them gave oral presentations in different thematic sections in their respective areas of expertise.
At the conference, Professor István Soós also carried out some networking tasks and approached the representative of the University of Murcia and the University of Thessaloniki, initiating the launch of an Erasmus cooperation partnership.
