János Tóth Jr pays successful visit to Australia

Many praised Dr János Tóth Jr, a Uefa 'A' licence-football coach working at the Department of Sport Games of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) for his lecture held at Melbourne-based La Trobe University and his training he held for local talents in December.

The coach, who also works at the Vasas Kubala Football Academy, was invited to Australia in mid-December last year, where he gave a lecture and conducted a training session for local young people.

Dr Tóth, who is always eager to learn and develop his skills, was invited to a coaching conference in Melbourne, Australia, attended by a number of international and national experts.

"Because of my professional background, I was asked by the Victorian Football Association to participate in their Talent ID program and to give a series of presentations to participants on a technical or tactical topic. The topic "Player cooperation through passing drills and small games" came to mind at the time, so I spoke to the audience about it. The presentation was a great success among locals, the students were active throughout, and the professional director and technical director of Football Victoria also attended the event and asked me many questions. At the end, they themselves said that I had opened new doors and approached things in a way they hadn't thought of," said Dr János Tóth Jr, who also gave coaching sessions as part of Victoria's state talent development programme.

János Tóth received positive feedback not only for his lecture, but also for the training session he led for local young talents.

"After the first training session, I was approached by the youth coaches and scouts of the Italian football clubs Atalanta and Catania. They spoke very highly of me. They pointed out that of all the training sessions they had watched, they liked mine the best. I was very pleased to hear it because I was getting feedback from experts who represent the elite in Italian youth football," he said.
