Four members of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) visited the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) on 25 August to discuss the possibilities of future cooperation between the two institutions.
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) was represented by Director General Sh. Sandip Pradhan, Executive Director Ms Ritu Pathik, Academics Director Professor Kalpana Sharma and fencing coach Sh. Ashok Kumar at the meeting.
The delegation was welcomed by Vice-Rector of General Affairs, Head of Department of Sport Games Dr Csaba Ökrös, Vice-Rector for Science, Director, Research Center for Molecular Exercise Science Professor Zsolt Radák, International Relations Directorate Director Dr habil Judit Kádár and Head of Department, Department of Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Dance and Aerobics Dr Zsuzsa Kalmár.
The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) offered SAI the possibility of participation in short-cycle Sport Coaching Courses as well as the Sport Diplomacy Postgraduate Program, collaborate on capacity building and organise international coach courses exclusively for SAI.
The two parties agreed that they will set up Double Degree program with the aid of ICM framework, and HUSS experts will collaborate in establishing the planned National Sport University of India.
The fruitful meeting ended with a campus tour.
