HUSS to play significant role at FISU World Games

Almost twenty students will represent the Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) at the upcoming FISU World Games (Universiade) to be held in China.

The FISU World Games will be held in world-class facilities in Chengdu, China between 28 July and 8 August. The Chinese city, which has 16 million inhabitants, will host the competition in 45 venues, 13 of which have been specially built for the FISU World Games.

Although the final entry lists have yet to be finalised, a total of 19 students in 7 sports are currently expected to represent the Hungarian University of Sports Science at the prestigious sporting event. In basketball Réka Bernáth, Berta Boros, Anett Kenyeres, Andrea Király and Réka Mányoki, in rowing Vivien Preil, Kálmán Furkó, Tamás Gerei, Krisztián Kerekes and Márton Szabó, in fencing Edina Kardos, Gergő Horváth and Krisztián Rabb, in water polo Bendegúz Ekler and Vendel Vigvári, in athletics Napsugár Eszenyi and Gábor Czeller, in judo Bálint Havasi and in swimming Mónika Ollé will compete in HUSS jersey. Mónika Ollé was elected the best female athlete of HUSS in 2022.

The women's basketball team will trained by Bianka Magyar, the successful coach of TFSE-MTK women's top team, who left TFSE-MTK this year.
