The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) will celebrate the World Leisure Day at the university on 26th April with a wide range of programmes.
The event will be hosted by the Department of Recreation of HUSS. Guests from Albania, Romania and the USA, international Leisure Leadership Training partners from Slovakia and Romania will be present at the event.
The first part of the day includes organized physical activities while the afternoon will see an international hybrid conference and visiting the World Leisure Youth Ambassador’s Youth Office.
“We cooperate with the relevant organisations on regular basis, and the programme for 26th April is the fruit of this collaboration," said Dr Miklós Bánhidi, Associate Professor of the Recreation Department at the Hungarian University of Sports Science and Chairman of the World Leisure Organization Youth Ambassador Committee. "World Recreation Day was initiated by the Brazilians, and we tried to develop the theme based on the environment, physical activity and culture. We already had a similar event last year, and this year's will be different in that it will be the central venue for youth programmes, namely the university. We are working on creating a tradition to offer such a colourful programme on the occasion of World Leisure Day in the coming years.”
World Leisure Day will be streamed online so people living in the United States, South Africa, India or Thailand can follow the event.

10.00 Kayak tour to Petőfi bridge via Parliament. Students and international guests will be kayaking on Danube river to demonstrate World Leisure Day.
