The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) aims to provide for world-class quality not only in education and research but also in developing its facilities. We are pleased and proud to announce that the Csörsz street sports facility is scheduled to open this summer as part of Buda's largest campus development.
Professor Lajos Mocsai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation of HUSS, also former Rector of the Hungarian University of Physical Education and Sport reported on the latest news and details of the development.
The iconic site of the institution, the Jenő Koltai Sports Centre, the Csörsz Street Sports Park, is located on an area exceeding 22,000 square metres. As indicated by Lajos Mocsai, the additional areas of the magnificent sports hall, or the sports complex if you like, will include athletics fields with internationally certified rekortan tracks, a grass athletic field and a football pitch, two football ground with synthetic grass and two tennis courts. The latter will be covered with roof, and football lovers will also enjoy maximum use of the floodlit pitches for evening matches and training sessions.
There is more to come. With a reversible grandstand, HUSS’s excellent sports complex also offers the opportunity to organise cultural events, so the university is going to welcome students in a world-class facility from autumn.
