International Budo University Rector pays a visit to the Hungarian University of Sports Science

On October 17, 2022, our university welcomed Dr Kantaro Matsui, the Rector of International Budo University (IBU). Dr Matsui was accompanied by Abe Testushi, guest lecturer at Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) and former HUSS student Yuto Tonoyama.

The delegation was received by HUSS Rector Dr Tamás Sterbenz, Dr Csaba Ökrös, Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Dr Endre Németh, Head of the Department of Combat Sports, László Csákvári, Master Lecturer at HUSS, Adrián Magyar, President of Inclusive Karate Hungary Sport Club and international relations coordinator Györgyi Koppa.

During the visit, the rectors of the two universities signed a new bilateral agreement and Dr Matsui was shown around at the TF campus model in building K1, where he was informed about the recent and future developments of the campus. After the official program, discussion continued informally during lunch. Rector Matsui showed interest in HUSS short courses and BA and MSc Sport Coaching programs for coaches in English, and mentioned that IBU would be happy to have a guest lecturer from our university.

The parties hope that the successful cooperation between the two institutions will continue in the form of student and teacher exchanges and joint training courses.
