Dr Tímea Kováts, a staff member of the Department of Health Sciences and Sports Medicine, successfully completed the nine-month Clinical Science Scholars program at Harvard Medical School.
The English-language Harvard Medical School Clinical Science Scholars program was organized and supported by Semmelweis University and ran over nine months in a partly in-person, mostly online format. Participants, including Dr Tímea Kováts from the Department of Health Sciences and Sports Medicine at Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), spent the final four days of the program on the world-renowned American university’s Boston campus, where they also received their diplomas.

The program provides comprehensive, practice-oriented knowledge necessary for conducting high-level clinical research, primarily in the fields of biostatistics, epidemiology, research organization, as well as leadership skills and teamwork.
Dr Kováts’s participation in the program was supported by Hungarian University of Sports Science. She intends to apply the knowledge gained during the course in her future teaching and research work at the university.
