On 5–6 February 2026, the ConSIMium decision-making simulation was held in Brussels at the building of the Council of the European Union, where university teams from all 27 Member States modeled the EU’s full legislative process. Hungarian delegation members were selected by the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference.
A member of the Hungarian team was Nóra Széles, student and staff member of Hungarian University of Sports Science, who represented Hungary in COREPER as permanent representative. Her role involved elevating technical compromises to the political level, defending national interests, and building strategic alliances.
The 2026 simulation focused on international trade, particularly the Anti-Coercion Instrument (ACI) and the regulation of foreign direct investment (FDI). The Hungarian position emphasized the protection of sovereignty alongside economic openness.

Nóra previously earned her degree in International Relations at Corvinus University of Budapest, later completed a sports management degree at HUSS, and is currently pursuing an MSc in recreation. Her professional development was also shaped by the Klebelsberg Kuno Szakkollégium, a talent development student community at HUSS. As a two-time world champion athlete, her mental resilience and discipline proved decisive during the negotiations.
For her, ConSIMium was both a professional challenge and a confirmation that the strategic and diplomatic skills developed at university stand their ground in an international environment.
